That's kind of the problem at every desirable place to live -- there's no work and low population. You get high population and then less desirability but there is work.

Is it beautiful up in Copper Harbor -- and the 80 +/- year 'round residents love it up there. Jobs there are in the tourist/service area. Michigan's smallest county - Keweenaw County - is hardly looking for new workers.

Check out the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge for employment opps.

Honestly, you'll end up with more opp.s further down the Peninsula in Calumet, Laurium, Lk Linden, Hubbell, Houghton or Hancock.

Everyone I knew up in Copper Harbor, had to buy their job.......most didn't make it ether,. Not uncommon . For a business to last more than 2 seasons , in a small resort place , is the exception. I knew a Guy who had a Motel, for 25 years or more, spent winters in Florida, summers in the Harbor......not a bad life !
