Come on, these trolling hit pieces are all over the internet. You gonna join your brethren like Crowder by indulging yourself in this well-worn territory? Not very "smart" imo.

I hope Detroit can hang on. If they can get through this and compress the city down to match the population size and get even a little job growth I think it could be an awesome place. I hate bigger and bigger and bigger cities. The entire east coast is practically gridlock. A nicely sized Detroit would be a beautiful thing.

agreed^
Right now, Detroit is starting to grow from the inside out. Younger, fresher, business people are starting to move into the downtown. And this is good.. however, its going to push the poorer population outward. This is like the opposite of white flight. In white flight, poor people/immigrants/foreigners moved into Detroit because of the cheaper livig and the factory jobs.. and that pushed the middle class (mostly whites) out into the suburbs.
Now it is reversing.

I also hope Detroit can hang on. Detroit's location such it's access to the Great Lakes and rail is a big plus in a few years
when water shortages and rising sea levels will leave many parts of the east and west coasts is terrible trouble.
