I have no idea. I know nothing about the company except the above experience that my son had when he applied there.

Ah, alright. I just thought it was odd that all these people from Quicken looked at my LinkedIn profile, but never got a call. Maybe I dodged a bullet. Did your son accept their offer?

No, he didn't want to work 70 hours a week.

Don't blame him. I'm really hoping I get hired soon, but I think if I get this summer job in PA and after it is up, I'm relocating regardless.

Of course they hire women. Could you imagine the lawsuit if they didn't? I knew a woman that worked there. She was older (in her 40s) and got a kick out of ridiculousness of the place. At that time David Hall was still the "Jim Jones" of the place. But she only stayed about a year.

I'm just surprised. My mom has used Quicken Loan software (since we live in PA) for years and always loved the software.

why is it so dysfunctional? I don't get the cause of these statements.. I have no prior knowledge, so I'm not saying that I disagree. But, are you guys just making these statements because they didn't hire you or someone you know?? I'd like to hear from someone who actually works there..

As for the "unprofessionally" or the "abnormally young work force" or "gigantic party" statement.. One of the phases that Detroit is in right now is that Young People (ambitious entrepreneurs, fresh minds, dreamers) are starting to migrate into detroit. And this is good. Detroit needs new minds and new initiatives.

I have toured and had experience in a couple of these companies with young workers and "party" aspects. This is just a new way of creating a positive/productive work environment. I have seen it in action and it seemed to have the workers in a great vibe. It was awesome to see the fresh and positive work environment as opposed to a quiet/serious/bland work environment. (Not to say that the later isn't a productive way of doing business)

On the other hand, I did see a little bit of a negative aspect that may relate to what you guys are saying. Look at this video... https://buzcast.com/Quicken-Loans/59...-03-1610:51:00

Idk what the "Million Dollar Bracket" thing is all about, nor do I know who Steve is, but the video seemed childish/immature and not a very "Cool" thing to put out there. I lost a little respect for them after seeing that.

LOL on another note, I get the impression that the overall business (not looking at individual workers or work environment, etc...) is a quality business. I get the impression that this company is good for Detroit, bringing in a ton of jobs and helping out the community and population of Detroit. For Example: https://buzcast.com/Quicken-Loans/59...-06-0504:46:00

There are almost always great aspects and almost always horrible aspects to a business (Especially to one of this magnitude). They just need to listen to what people are saying and act to improve (As any good business would do)

My comments were completely based on a real experience that my son had when he applied for a job with them. No sour grapes here, because they offered him the job and he turned it down based on the working conditions that were described to him. Working 70 hours a week for $34,000 (AKA $9/hr.) and all the free popcorn you want? Yeah, right.
