Where can I buy fresh fish?
Hi:
I am new to Michigan and live in Farmington hills, would like to know where to buy fresh fish. I am willing to drive within one hour driving distance.
Any chinese markets around? I really miss the chinese market fresh fish varieties in Canada, especially Missisauga........
Thanks for all your help.

Superior Fish (broken link) is fantastic and supplies many of the restaurants around here, but it's in downtown Royal Oak. As you probably know, Costco also has great fish - rainbow trout, salmon, talapia, etc.

eastern market
You may want to try the Eastern Market downtown Detroit. I have only been there a couple times, but they may have some fresh fish markets. They have a lot of fresh fruit and vegetable vendors. The pricing is very reasonable. Check out the website www.detroiteasternmarket.com

Go see Phil here for fish:

And after that, or before, go next door to Alchemo's and have John make you an Italian 5 meat sub on a hard roll. If you're in Farmington Hills, you can go to his brother Frank's on Plymouth Road near Farmington, "Chimento's". Try the home made pasta sauces. Frank has a bunch of different kinds.

[quote=Jim-rozalski;6006833]Superior in Royal Oak is Good. Fresh Fish House on 8 Mile & Wyoming is good too. The staff is knowledgable and the selection is a mile long.
