Post considering job in MI: which is better Ithaca or Mount Pleasant

I am currently interviewing for a position in Ithaca and want to get an idea about the area. Am the single father of 13 y.o. daughter so want a place that will give her some things to do. She plays B-ball as well loves to do art work. Considering either Ithaca or Mount Pleasant. Will rent for the short term to see how the job develops and until she decides where to go to college. We currently live in Ithaca (yes same name) NY so I am somewhat used to the winters though I am originally from the NC Outer Banks.

Any insight on the areas, housing, schools, events will be greatly appreciated.

Ithaca Is A Little Ways From Mt Pleasant , Mt Pleasant Is A College Town And Bigger It Also Draws A Lot Of Out Of Town People With The Large Indian Casino. I Like The Town Of Mt.pleasant Just More Pleasing To Me And There Is More To Do. It Would Be This Persons Town Of Choice. Good Luck On The Move And Safe Travel.

Thanks for your input. Having lived in the DC area a while back the commute shouldn't be too hard (except during the heavy snow). Thanks again...
