If you don't want a lot of snow move to St. Helen, Michigan. We get snow here but not like some area's in Michigan. The Gerrish Higgins school system has been rated very high and it is a small school. St. Helen has a grade school if you you have a small child in school. St. Helen is a quite town I should say a township with about 3000 residents I am guessing on that but it is around that. Lake St. Helen has great fishing for Blue Gills and you would be close to Houghton Lake, and Higgins Lake. If you already haven't moved contact me at my email address. www.napl1942@sbcglobal.net (broken link). We have a home for sale here built in 1993. Nice three bedroom with attached gagage and full basement, with a second garage. If you want more info e-mail me and I will give you the agents info. Good luck with your move. NPAL

Do some research on Grand Blanc. Good area, close to 3 major roadways, 23, I75 and 69 for the truck driver in the family. There are multiple major hospitals in the area including Genesys, McLaren, and Hurley. Great schools for the kiddos. Right now the housing market is pretty soft you can find some nice homes for great prices example. I live in a neighborhood with 213 houses mostly made for young families, it takes two elementary school buses to bus the kids to the local elementary school. There was a house that sold at auction for $92,000 in February that had 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathroom fully finished basement. This house sold for around $180,000 two or three years ago. Best of luck to you.
