I think Michigan is great! NO hurricanes, no tornado alley, no avalanches, earthquakes, terrorist attacks. We get some snow, but it makes us stronger. We have 17 electoral votes in the presidential election!!! That means that we are important! We have 2 big ten universities and the Red Wings. The Tigers won the penant not too long ago and the Lions, well, Detroit HOSTED the Superbowl. We are pretty safe here and very resilient. We know how to work and we are not weak. We maintain law and order without the death penalty. We have the 2nd largest waterfall in the country. We gave the world Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Patti Labelle, Grand Funk Railroad, Stevie Wonder, Madonna, and ROSA PARKS. Tony Dunge-Superbowl winner (not a Lion, of course). Muhsin Muhammad played in the superbowl-also not a Lion. Magic Johnson. John Smoltz-Atlanta Braves pitcher!!!! And the Republican Party. Faygo!

We are a military family, we have been to many different places, yet in the end its Michigan I still find myself missing the most. Michigan is truly one of the most beautiful places I have been. My husband did not grow up even close to Michigan, but he too fell in love with it.

Was wondering if anyone walked the Mackinaw Bridge this past weekend? It was a perfect day for it.

My son walked the bridge for the first time. He said it was PACKED, but it was also fun. He was part of a group from LSSU.

Two penny Jenny might relieve Kwame of his duties, and hopefully his pension. That's about as positive as I can come up with.

We just moved here and I am awed by the beauty of our area (Newaygo county) so far we are enjoying our move, it rained all day here. In California we had 3 seasons, dry, dryer, and on fire!
