Default best place to live

My husband works for oshkosh truck and he has the opportunity to move to Michigan, but they said it has to be a bigger city, only they have yet to tell us the cities we get to choose from. So i was wondering what the nicest/bigger city/town would be? We like the outdoors and would like to be close to recreation. Thanks a ton.

Ann arbor is the best city. Grand rapids is next. There are not that many big cities. How big is big?

Ann Arbor is supposedly the city with the highest cost of living in the state. I think Grand Rapids might be good for you, it's a decent size and you are not far from outdoorsy activities.

When they come back with some choices, let us know and maybe there will be more we can tell you.

The suburbs north of Detroit will offer you a lot of choices of recreation, outdoor activites, schools, home prices, and shopping.

Yeah, really most of the action is in & around Detroit, but it has such a lousy reputation it drives people away from all the great things.
