I grew up next towns over from Livonia in Wayne/Westland.
Livonia is the epitome of 1950s and 60s Suburbia.
Good stable but not very hip area. There are plenty of eating establishments and shopping (albeit somewhat aging). People are solidly middle class to some upper middle class whites. Its pretty easy to get to major roads to other areas of the city.
Its probably a good place for someone who wants to work and have a nice house, and do a little shopping. If you need lively street life, etc., then Livonia is not the place for you. Look to Plymouth or even better, Ann Arbor.

So true....it almost reminds you of that scene in "Edward Scissorhands"...where everyone arrives home from work at the same time, mow the lawn at the same time, all the houses look the same, all the wives have the same hairdo...ect.

Hi!

Livonia, Michigan is a booming town. My ex-husband went to school there! LOL

It is a big city with o.k. school systems. I've taken a lot of Rec classes through Livonia. It is a relatively safe town as well. I would live there. You would get a nice house for your $$$.
