where can i find flight patterns? i sm curious where planes are going when passing over my house (commercial flights).

go to faa.gov and ask or call them. Most of what you will find on the net is about noise abatement but, keep in mind, that the homeland doesn't want it's citizens to know too much. Good luck

If you live "downriver", most likely you are in the main area of the flight pattern just before planes land in Metro-Detroit Airport.
