Default Are there any Theme parks?

What kind of family entertainment is located in Michigan? I heard it is only a two or three hour drive to Marineland, in Ontario. But is there anything closer?

Marineland is in Canada, near Niagara Falls, Ontario. It has orca whales, beluga whales, bears and other animals, as well as rides.
Here is the link: Marineland Canada

Definitely Cedar Point, especially if you live in Southeast Michigan. Michigan's Adventure isn't bad for a close trip if you live on the Western half of Michigan, or make a weekend trip to Chicago and hit Six Flags in Gurnee.

Do you want a thrill park or a theme park?

Cedar Point is a thrill park.

There are indoor water parks in Dundee, Traverse city, Boyne, and several other places.

Just go canoing. It is more fun, cheaper, and you can do it within a couple of miles of wherever you live. The kids will love it. Better yet, get a couple of Kayaks.

There is a place with sledding, tubing, dog sledding, and X-C Skiing so it is kind of a theme park. It may have a small downhill slope too. I have not been there. If that interests you, I will ask my brother where it is.

Some might call Greenfield village a theme park.

If you're looking for a park with thrill rides and roller coasters, Cedar Point is not only a great park, it is rated the best in the WORLD. It has a world record for number of roller coasters - something ridiculous, like 17 of them - and many other thrill rides in addition to the coasters (demon drop, power tower, MaxAir, etc.). It is on Lake Erie in Sandusky, OH - about a 2.5 Hour drive from the Northern 'burbs. It also has a water park attached to it, is located on the beach and has an RV Park / Campground along with many Hotels.
