Didn't you post before? Maybe it was someone with the same issues.

The closest good place is Dearborn. PArts of Dearborn are pretty nice, other parts less so. Same is true of the schools.

If you want a substantial India population I wold suggest Canton or Novi. (More Canton than Novi). great schools, great safety, lots of shopping, lots of subdivisions.

If you just want a super safe pleasant place to live with awesome schools, and you like nature, I suggest Grosse Ile.

If you want less expensive but still pleasant Livonia, Woodhaven, or Farmington Hills.

If you want culture and tons of things to do, Mid-town or downtown Detroit (Waldorf private school or move once your kid starts school).

http://www.crainsdetroit.com/article...ple-to-detroit

This is an article from 2014, and I doubt that much has changed since then. It states that largest Indian populations here are in Farmington Hills, Bloomfield Township and Troy.

You might want to check out the miindia.com site for information as well, if you haven't tried it yet.
