It is if you need to find a job. Heck, lots of people are moving out of Michigan (fleeing) for that very reason. I do agree with Bydand, though, that other states and the nation as a whole aren't doing all that well, either; it's more a matter of "not as bad in other states" than it is "good job market in other states".
