Obama care has literally NOTHING to do with what you're describing.

Read your coverage description. In my plan, for example, certain things are covered (small portions of them, but still) even before you've met your deductible. It's the difference of paying, say, $42.50 vs. $50 on a chiro visit. Not huge, but...something.

Even without any insurance at all, a physical costs less than $200 at a community clinic or doc in a box. If you have any sort of coverage, even the worst insurance with huge deductible, you will be paying something like $25-35.

I will chime in from another angle. I work at a small business in their accounting department and have some responsibilities for payroll. ACA has added a HUGE cost (in proportion to our size) to our administration of benefits. Both from our own time as well as new fees from our 3rd party payroll provider to administer the record-keeping and reporting nightmare that is mandated. Too much intrusion from the Feds in my opinion.

$12,000 to get a physical? I have two teenage kids in sports who get physicals for about $50/each. Let me know if you need the doctor's #.

This post is obviously a pro-republican anti-obama care post.

I was told by the lady who answered the phone that I had to pay the dec. before I could use the card.Im only asking questions to get different feed back from people it has nothing to do with Obama care anti or republican cause I unlike many people out there cant change any thing any ways. I just wont use my card and that will be it.seems like the first thing out of medical people when you check in is insurance if you say you don't have it or you want to pay cash its like your a no good person. PLEASE CANCEL MY POST CAUSE I ONLY WANTED FEEDBACK NOT TO BE PUT DOWN OVER WHAT I NEVER DISCUSS WITH ANY ONE WHO I VOTED FOR> Oh and to the people who did write and give me there feedback thank you all.

You posted on a public forum about a contentious political issue and only wanted positive feedback?

I use a health share so im exempt from oboma care plus its cheaper for me. only 150 a month for the premium plan and a 500 deductible per incident. so for my pregnancy including the prenatal checkups, delivery, and 3 months of care and checkups for the little one, it all cost me only 500. i use Christian Healthcare Ministries but there are other good ones also. they have cheaper plans aswell. very happy with it
