Default Scary Conversation With The Tax Lady
I just got my taxes done, and when the dust had cleared my preparer started venting to me about how the recent business tax changes in this state are affecting her customers. She said business taxes are now TRIPLE what they were before the changes.

She asked a very good question: Why would any new businesses come into the state now?

She does this for a living and has serious experience. Very scary stuff, if you ask me.

They don't ...they leave (comerica bank) or go out of business (most furniture stores other than Art Van)
