Default Carsonville

I just looked at a farm property in Carsonville today and wondered if anyone is from that area. It seems like a nice town and is only 15 miles from Port Sanilac. I am hoping to open a "dog: oriented business on whatever property I buy so I have to be close to some activity but far enough out to have 30 or so dogs not tick anyone off . I am mostly interestd in daily life stuff. Where do you shop. What is the closest town for that. ETc... Thanks in advance for any info,

PackLeader

Default Info about Carsonville

Well, ok! What is there to say about Carsonville. I'm from Sandusky, Michigan a little less than 10 miles West of Carsonville. There's a down side and an up side to living in Carsonville. The downside, which in your case might be exactly what you want, is that Carsonville has very little in the way of shopping and leisure. You might have noticed when you drove through. This makes the small town very quiet and without any traffic to be spoken of. The main department stores nearest Carsonville include the Sandusky Kmart and Walmart. Sandusky also offers Jerry's Foodland a local grocer that has been open for years. Sandusky has restaurants, gas stations and banks galore! They also just opened a new theater in town which makes the Hi-Way Drive In between Carsonville and Sandusky a close relative to the Firebird Theater and makes it so nice to have something extra without having to travel down to Port Huron to see a good movie. On the other side of Carsonville is Port Sanilac like you mentioned. I enjoy driving the 15 miles down to Lake Huron to swim and walk the break wall in the summer. Port Sanilac and it's close neighbor, Lexington, has tons a fantastic mom & pop shops to explore. Port Huron is only about an hour from Sandusky, and Carsonville. Port Huron has pretty much everything that Sandusky has and a little bit more which makes it a great place to head down to for the weekend. The upside, is that it would be perfect for your dog business. Carsonville, is a place where you would need to drive to your neighbors house because they are not a hop skip and a jump away--which would allow your dogs to bark freely. So as long as those neighbors aren't at arms reach I'm sure your dog business would fit in perfectly. If you have any more specific questions for me that I havent answered let me know and I'll help you out in any way you need.
