Default Roseville

My fiance just got hired to teach 4th grade at a school in Roseville, we aren't familiar with the area (we live in a small town 25 min. east of Flint), and are looking for suggestions on where to look for housing (rent or buy), preferably north of the area. We would like to avoid I-75 as much as possible and would be willing to commute up to 1/2 hour...he is also a big hunter and we would like to take this into consideration. We like the country, but also like being able to be close enough to stores and resturants when we need them :-) Thanks for any suggestions!

Well, it is going to be hard to live rural and have a 30 min commute to work, to Roseville. Most cities in the area are build up and are all urbanized. I would look into Clinton, Shelby, or Washington Township's. Or any of the cities or townships near by would also be a good choice.

I was going to suggest Harrison Township but I don't think you could make it in 30 min.

Harrison Township is only 15 minutes from Roseville. If you want to get a little more rural, stay north of M59. Ray Township, Chesterfield, New Haven are all pretty nice and only about 1/2 hour or so from Roseville. You can go further north if you stick close to 94 to make it easier to get to roseville. Avoid having to commute on 59 if at all possible.

You can even find gravel roads and farms north of 24 mile road and east of 94.
chesterfield, MI, USA - Google Maps

I live in Mount Clemens now which is decent in that you can rent some really nice houses cheap.
