My job is being relocated to Detoit. The job will be in downtown. I will be flying frequently. What are some nice areas to live and some nice apartments complexes?

There are some nice apartment complexes right downtown. If you're going to be flying a lot and don't have any kids it might be something good to look into.

I hear Sterling Heights is nice. It is listed as one of the safest towns in the U.S.

I totally agree with looking downtown. Getting to the airport won't be too bad if you are flying frequently. A couple of really nice complexes to consider are Millender Center and Merchant's Row. The airport is west of downtown so I would look in that direction if you are considering living in a suburb. However, by the time you got to a decent suburb you would have a pretty lengthy commute so I would just look downtown.

If you don't mind a 30-45 min commute, I would look in Plymouth, Canton or Northville. These are really nice areas that are convenient to the airport.

And if you're on a budget, think Wyandotte, Garden City, Westland, or Allen Park. 30 minutes to downtown and about 15 minutes to the airport from any of those.
