Default Hotels in or near Lakeview, Michigan?

We'll be travelling this week to Lakeview, Michigan for our niece's funeral, and we're looking for hotel suggestions. My spouse's brother and sister-in-law's home is pretty small, and they were too distraught to be able to suggest any place to stay when we spoke with them this evening.

Based on a couple of hours of searching, it would appear that websites like travelocity and orbitz have never heard of Lakeview; at least, they don't think there are any hotels near there. The closest we've found so far are either in Big Rapids, Mount Pleasant or Grand Rapids, and appear to be 25 to 50 miles away from Lakeview.

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for a decent hotel either in or within a relatively short distance of Lakeview?

Many thanks for your help.

Sorry for your loss.
Greenville, MI is 19 miles south of Lakeview, a pleasant drive. There I can recommend the Winter Inn (kind of an old style hotel, not very big) or the Westwood Inn motel.
If you can't find those on google drop me a line and I'll get the phone numbers for you. Greenville is my hometown and I went to highschool in Lakeview.

(I think Howard City to the west of Lakeview has some sort of motel but have no idea what the name is or what it's like??)
