Lots of old old OLD houses and buildings, and tons of Custer historical stuff. Almost to the point of nauseum. There is a Custer Airport, Road, statues, blah blah blah. There's also a battlefield on the northeast side of town where the battle of Frenchtown took place. River Raisin Battlefield

When you get settled in go to the Monroe County ISD and find out if they know of any open parapro positions... also sign up for sub list. You can work steady if you are open to going to different school districts in the county and will sub for a wide range of grades.

I grew up in Toledo and we live in Monroe. I like it here.

There is the occasional tornado... but not like Kansas.
