My wife's step-brother called her up from the other side of the country today wanting to know if she can go downtown and get a copy of his juvy records for him and send them to him. She really isn't in much of a condition to be driving. Is there a way that he can call up and get a copy faxed to him?

Would they even release a copy of his juvenile record to someone else, especially a step-sibling? Assuming she doesn't have power of attorney for him or similar...

Much to my surprise, it appears generally yes. But on a case by case situation they at times can be sealed. My gut says getting them sealed may have to do with how good (expensive) your lawyer is. But my gut was wrong once already in this thread.
