Senator Debbie Stabenow's husband receiving favor and privileges from prosecutors in prostitution bust?
I read in yesterday's Detroit Free Press that a county prosecutor will not prosecute Senator Debbie Stabenow's husband in a prostitution case. Why? Because he agreed to testify against the prostitute!
Personally, I think prostitution should be legal and that no one should be prosecuted and I oppose the politically correct feminist-misandrist notion that males are to blame for prostitution and that only the men should be prosecuted for it.
However, this case strikes me as an instance of political favoritism because normally they do go after the men and tend to be more lenient with the female prostitutes. Now, amazingly, they're going to allow the high profile male to testify against the no-name, benign female prostitute. Wow!
I suspect that someone somewhere is pulling strings to prevent the Senator from suffering the embarrassment of having her husband prosecuted for cheating on her and then having local feminists insist that she divorce him.
That's all just speculation on my part; I don't know what's really going on, but that news brief jumped out at me. Am I misinterpreting this? Is there an unreported scandal brewing here? Any thoughts?
