Default Date in Lansing

Hello all.

I am planning a little get together with a friend/date.

What is there to do in Lansing?

What is there to do inside (in case it rains).

What about outside?

We are both young and active!

Let me know your thoughts.

My favorite Lansing restaurant is Clara's. It's on Michigan Ave east of Larch Street. The restaurant is breathtaking in a former train depot. You can eat downstairs, on a high veranda area, or in a rail car. The food is very good. It's moderately priced, figure $8-15 for an entree. Not too dressy but not slummy casual either.

Depending on the time of your get together, the museums are excellent and the tour of the capitol, if you've never done it is amazing. There might be something on the MSU campus-concert, play, show etc in case you are stuck with an inside activity.

Next weekend there is a huge craft/arts festival in downtown East Lansing.

I second the recommendation of Clara's-nice place, good food for an initial meeting. If you are able to be outdoors, you could catch a Lugnuts game and do Clara's as well, they are within walking distance!

How about Eastwood Towne?

Any more thoughts on the Lansing Lugnuts? ... I like that idea!

Eastwood Towne has great restaurants, otherwise it's an upscale shopping center. Talbots, Coldwater Creek, Bookstore, DSW, Yankee Candle etc.
