Default Seeking help...

ASAP.

Without saying too much, I'm writing on behalf of a good friend who is in need of important information with regards to the State of Michigan and father's rights (laws) of parent from "out of state" situations. Seeking links to public records, reporting (out of state) adoptions and other sources of info along those lines.

Divorce Online | Divorce Resources | Legal, Financial & Counseling - Divorce Articles is a good resource and one of the backers of the site is a divorce attorney here in Michigan. Henry Gornbein I think his name is, nice guy. I met him once on a get together associated with the sites forums. Just do a search on his name there.

The ADAM and FRED legal organizations here in the state should be able to help him. That's all they do, help men with their divorces.

This is a little more complicated. There are personal records in New York State that are sealed, w/o his knowledge or consent. Certain things have not been declared in the State of Michigan and he's being forced to pay on items that records within NYS says he doesn't have to pay. This comes more than 10 years thereafter the New Yorks State records were sealed. The State of Michigan is unaware of the records in NYS.
