Smile Columbiaville, Michigan William Peter ledgers

I just recently purchased two very large leather bound ledgers that once belonged to William Peter of Columbiaville, Michigan. They are in pristine condition. The dates are from 1887 10 1901. On one of the binders it says Estate of William Perry and the other binder just says William Perry. I found these at an estate sale in Tullahoma, Tn. I have tried to find out information onthis gentleman, but really all I was able to find was that he basically owned a big majority of the town, but thats it. If anyone has any info on William Perry will you please let me know. Thank you!

Default William peter ledgers

The village of columbiaville has a historical society with quite a bit of information regarding william peter, etc. A local book has been published that documents much about william peter and his personal history. His mansion is now a bed and breakfast. He was quite a prominent figure in the area. The village of columbiaville has a website with contact numbers which might help with your research. Good luck. For such a small town there is quite a bit of information.
