Default Tri-City Area jobs

Hello,

I'm living in Midland right now and I have a part time service job. Like most other people here, I am under employed but I am grateful to have a job at all (especially one with benefits). I have found Midland to be a bit more upbeat and promising in general than Saginaw (was living there for a year).

I have managerial experience in publishing, and the two main publishing places here pretty much never post available jobs and I imagine it is ultra-competitive to get in there. I would settle for a job at a bank or an admin type position and I miss working in an office environment. My problem is that I'm at $8.00/hour plus tips with my service job, plus benefits, and I am not finding an admin job that pays the same. Banks pay slightly more, but I am not getting any return phone calls from them while I am getting calls back about other customer service positions.

Any inside advice would be greatly appreciated. I know that the economy sucks, and I have been working at a service job for a year...so yeah, I know all about that. I'm just trying to get ahead instead of behind with money. Even though my college degree isn't good for much, I was hoping to at least afford toilet paper in the near future so I won't have to use the degree instead...after all, it does look nice on the wall...haha.

Default Bank Jobs

Hey there...I know of some bank jobs in your area. I am from Midland and know of banks hiring. Look at their web sites, that is where they advertise most often. I know National City is hiring full time, Chemical Bank was looking for help, as was LaSalle; I don't know if they still are or not. Good luck...and just some info...steer clear of Wolverine.
