I'm waiting on my new wider lens. Should be here Thursday. Then I'll be able to add some nice farm shots like yours.

Thanks, but they would have been nicer if I knew what I was doing! I've always wanted to take pictures of that farm, and I happened to be in the area at sunset on Monday. I found that the lighting at that time of night is a pretty big challenge. Everything was turning out too dark. Having a cheap camera and a lack of knowledge doesn't help either. But I have fun doing it, so that's what counts, right?

Define cheap? You don't need to have a $5000 camera to capture great images. In fact you don't even need a $1,000 camera. If's it a point and shoot you might be a little limited, but just about any of today's SLR's are very capable of great shot's. One of my flickr buddies took an amazing picture of torch lake at sunset with a cell phone. LOL Hell my camera might be considered cheap by many peoples standards. By PRO SLR standards it's cheap. LOL Feel free to send me an email and I'll do what I can to answer any questions or help.

These pictures are so gorgeous, I want to cry! I can't believe we get to move here. It's got to be like living where everyone pays a fortune to vacation.

Wowwowowowowowowow! I'm so excited! Thanks for these. I am going on no sleep and rush rush rush to accommodate my husband's crazy work schedule. This just gave me a huge pick me up.

Beautiful sunset last night... camera didn't pick up the amazing red color of the sun (sensor turned it bright white) but you can see the color in the water reflection below it.

No photoshopping of this one. That's the real blue of the shallow areas around Torch Lake:
