I have always felt sorry for those people living in landlocked states...no large bodies of water like our GREAT LAKES to visit. Geesh, ya gotta have water!

I was in the UP last weekend and you probably all know the sight of one of these coming towards you leaving you in a cloud of snow for a few seconds.



Lake Superior at Whitefish Point had some nice ice formations.

It's sometimes difficult to imagine this is the same lake but in a different season. A completely different world but that's what makes Michigan so beautiful. These were taken last summer near Grand Marais.
