There were so many nice boats. I am planning on going to the boat show at the Les Cheneaux Islands in Hessel this year. Another beautiful part of Michigan.
A few more pictures here:

To go along with the beauty of those old boats is the way they sound when they fire them up for a cruise.

Wulf, the show in Hessel is great.
Larger then in Bay Harbor, as I remember, though Bay Harbor's may be getting bigger now.
The town of Hessel is really nice also, not a fake town like Bay Harbor, and the people to.

No, it's on Franklin Rd between Long Lake and Square Lake. It's a surprisingly large preserve, given the prime location. An absolutely beautiful place - forest with a lake and some grassy areas where you can observe colibris in summer if you're lucky. Also have some animals in cages (two large deer, owls, a redtail hawk) that were found hurt, were healed and can't be released into the wild. There's a replica of a late XIX century log cabin, some nice wild berries and many other interesting things, we often take kids there over the weekend.

Pics of Spectacular Michigan
I do agree with the person who posted this thread. I believe Michigan is one of the World's great wonders. We live in one of the most beautiful states there is and we need to realize it!

Just went into town and stopped along the way for a few Cherry photos. They have already started to shake the Sweets, so the Tarts are only a week or so away. Roadside stands for the Black Sweet Cherries are popping up all over again for the next couple of weeks, so if you want em' come get em'.
Here is some Montmorency's that are just about ready to harvest.
A little closer shot of the Montmorency Cherries. It takes a bit to get used to the "odd" color, Cherries are not supposed to be yellow . Very good Cherry, one of my favorites.
Some Tarts that are a week or so away from being ready to shake.
Plus a Snapdragon I saw along the roadside.
