There's a boat Assembly plant "FOUR WINNS" in my hometown "Cadillac" in NW, Mi....
Back then there were many "Kaiser Steel" factories all through Mich, that made parts, frames, engines and most of the parts for the Auto industry. In fact, Kaiser steel was the back bone of Detroit and the working families up until the mid 60's.

Omg! That makes me soooo homesick! I lived right down the road from there on little Traverse Lake. I miss it so bad! It is so beautiful up there! Someday maybe we can go back. Thanks for the pictures! They are beautiful!

JGatti - very cool Dream Cruise photos. Do you have one of the Elvis car showing more of the car? Been a few years since I've been to the Dream Cruise.
moldman, I'm planning a trip up to the Dunes area this fall. Are (leashed) dogs allowed on the trials or Dunes?

No I did not get any other shots of the Elvis car sorry. This was the only picture on it though. It ( like a lot ot the cars) were parked pretty tight together and made for hard angles to get decent shots of some of them. Also the way the sun was shining I did not think this photo turned out. I shot it 4 times and none of them looked right on my screen. But after I downloaded them I was pleasantly surprised. Next year I plan on making a day of it.
