I thought I'd post some pics of my "underappreciated" portion of Michigan.
We see plenty of pics of lakes, rivers, cities, the coast, etc. Not a lot of pictures that look like where I live! So, here are a few I took on one of our few truly hot days this summer... without venturing too far from the road, of course.
Didn't know if anyone had posted this Kid Rock video yet, but shows some Torch Lake and Torch River footage, and in the lyrics where he talks about the sandbar (as we fondly refer to as "the land of the woo girls and swimmer's itch )

Sorry to say it, but none of your photos show up. I was looking forward to seeing them too, it has been a long time since I was down in that area poking around. Used to go down to Lake Odessa and that area years ago.

Not sure why they aren't loading! I went to high school in Lake Odessa. It probably hasn't changed a whole lot since you were there, but there have been some improvements lately. Downtown looks 100% nicer than it did a few years ago.
Maybe when I have more time I'll try to re-post those pics, and maybe a few more.
