What a small world. My Great Grandfather was the model for the lumberjack in the middle holding the bible. My older brother is practically his twin. Thank you for sharing your pictures, I haven't been there since I was a kid.

This is part of the Manistee Boardwalk. It is a rather nice 1.4 mile path along the river downtown Manistee. Starts at the break wall on Lake Michigan and ends right at the far end of the downtown district. it is very nice actually.
This is the end of one of the break walls in Manistee. With the boats headed out for Salmon fishing in the afternoon.

Times sure have changed. The only boardwalk along the Manistee river (in the 60's) were at the Manistee Backwaters.

BTW I knew an Anna Behrens in the 1940's. Do you know anything about the one that the camp was named after?
