Default High speed cable internet in marquette

Anyone know about the providers and costs for high speed cable internet in Marquette, Michigan? Given that there is a university in the area, I would imagine that cable internet is available. Comcast?

Correct. Cost of the service will depend on the package & speed you choose.

Ummm...... wouldn't that likely be your computer and not the internet?? I literally have 9 windows open and active right now and I frequently have at least this many along with some type of Instant Messenger format going. Ebay is currently open, hoping to get an antique fan for my father-in-law for Fathers Day. I'm obviously posting here. Have CNN & BBC open (often compare the two). Have our local auction service site open, enjoyed going to those auctions the last two days and am trying to figure out which new ones I wish to go to. Also have a google maps window so I can see how far the auctions are from me. The weather is on another window and I have two other forums up. Sorry, for the messy post. Had to pull each one up to see what they were! LOL
Anyways if I'm researching something as I frequently do, it's not uncommon for me to have well over a dozen windows up and active.

I have always been on the bird in the sky, first cable for me. The Sat. was slow, but had no problem with the load. I understand what you are saying , but , that is what is happening. Not a big problem , I will handle it , for now , as I am renting until I get my house built......

I have found that if you use Charter's Security Suite, it REALLY slows down your computer. But without it, Charter is the fastest ISP I've ever had.

Never heard of " Security suite" ? We just have their HiSpeed service. When I have live E- Trade Market trader on , thats about all that works , and , theres only 2 of us in the office. I agree , otherwise , its very fast , just don't have a lot open.

Torrid is right. It's part of the "complimentary" start up package when you first get their service. I got rid of mine asap because of the problems it caused with the computer bogging down. As you see in my above post, I have no problems with having many, many things open and going at once.
I had forgotten all about it until she mentioned it
