Question about Taylor
Hello, I came here for some feedback.
My name is Katie, I'm a senior in High School, and I am currently living in Virginia.
My mom is a Michigan native, and has decided once I graduate, we are moving to Taylor, Michigan. Now.. I'm technically a Michigan native too, I was born there, but when I was two we moved. So I don't remember Michigan at all, I just remember my grandmas old dusty house, because we used to visit time to time as I was growing up.
I am very attached to where I live, I have lots of friends, the colleges I want to go to are here, and I'm just accustomed to this area, unlike my mom, who despises this place.
I've been looking for a place to live here(in Virginia), but so far, luck isn't on my side.
So I was wondering... if I were to move to Taylor, what would it have to offer me, as a young adult? I don't mean "Its a good place to raise your children.", I'm only a teenager.
To let you know alittle about me.. I'm just a teenager with Peter Pan Syndrome, I dread change and growing up. I was raised in Texas from age 2 to 12, and it took me two years to finally get over Texas, and call Virginia home; I'm now 17, going on 18. I'm not a very social person, I'm very shy, so it takes me awhile to make friends, but I do have a nice group of friends who are like family to me. To me, my friends are my sanity, I have a very hectic and stressful family, so I generally keep to myself when with them, and my friends are usually there for me to vent on, or just as an escape. And since I'll be out of High School, it'll be harder for me to make friends. I like art, I plan on getting a career in art, like an art director, or something in graphics art. I also love anime, and Japanese culture, I've always been seen as a geek for that.
I can guarantee if Taylor has nothing to occupy me with, I will become very emotionally unstable. I will end up sitting in my room, thinking about how I have nothing to do here, and how in Virginia, I'd probably be hanging out with my friends, or hosting the anime club, etc, and then sulk in self pitty, which I don't want to do. I'm used to living in big cities, I lived in Houston, Texas. And those cities tend to have alot to offer you.
