Default Places to rent around Bloomfield Hills

I just started a job in Bloomfield Hills (Square Lake and Telegraph area) and I'm looking into potential apartments to move into within the next year. I'm 22 and am commuting from Rochester (freeloading off of my parents) right now, but sometime in the near future I'll definitely want to get a place of my own. Ideally, I'd like to live somewhere with a commute that's less than 20 minutes in a reasonably nice area. Bloomfield Hills isn't completely out of the question, but from quick looks at some apartments the rates have been unsurprisingly pricey. I definitely do not want to deal with roommates anymore, so I'd like to find a nice 1 bedroom apartment for 700 or less (but I am flexible). Does anyone have any suggestions for good areas or even good apartment complexes near this area?

Well you can always find some cheaper places in Pontiac but I'm sure that's not your first choice.

I would check into maybe Keego Harbor or Auburn Hills or something more middle class. You might be able to find some cheaper options there.

Best bet: check Craigslist. Just put in a city (Bloomfield Hills, Rochester Hills, Keego, Sylvan Lake, etc) and you can put a rent limit in.

I have not checked these out but I think there is a place called Bloomfield Place apts like right where you work around 600 a month. What about Troy? I found a nice place by the Somerset Mall for 625. I would get one of those apartment guide books as well. Also in the past I have found good apts by driving around. There are smaller complexes that don't advertise and don't have the thrills like club house but are reasonable
