Wow...small world. I suppose that makes sense, as Flint has been shrinking in population over the years.

Sorry, C.S. Mott's property is already spoken for!

20 years ago, I got what everyone in Flint wants....OUT! I lived there from 58 - 86 & it was ok then. After GM left....there goes the lifeblood of the town.

just call me an old "eastsider"!

I am moving into Flint next week. Voluntarily.

Maybe I am just young and idealistic (or foolish), but I am looking forward to being a part of the area coming back. (My house is just a few blocks from the main drag on Saginaw St. - near Court and Grand Traverse.) Even though I won't have much time with my work schedule to volunteer or anything like that, I feel like I will be doing at least a small part by living there, behaving myself, and taking care of my house.

From what I have heard all that's really doing is retaining the jobs that are there now... so it won't make it better... but I guess it won't get worse either!

The Carman ainsworth area is a suburban area which is considered the township. It is not rough and is one of the better areas around flint. The school district has a great financial backup and have beautiful buildings with diverse students. Average home in carman-ainsworth area is around 200,000 which are subdivisions that consist of lawyers, doctors, etc

he was def referring to Beecher which is a small city located outside of flint and is very ghetto. in the carman-ainsworth area there is a beecher road which is totally different. you wont do wrong with buying anything in carman ainsworth. it is Flint township and is a upper area of town with many professionals and a great school district

ANYWHERE on MLK is bad. Run and run fast. Honestly, I would be scared to even drive down it anymore.
