Default Moving to Flint -- Rentals in College/Cultural or Downtown?
Hi all. I'll be moving soon to Flint and want to live in the college/cultural area or downtown. How do I find rentals remotely -- that is, from where I currently live? I am half a day's drive away from Flint, and I'd like to gather and contact rental leads (houses, apartments in houses, duplexes -- no complexes) so that I can go up and back in a day or maybe stay overnight.

I've looked on Craig's List and MLive, and neither seems very comprehensive.

You might want to check with real estate agencies. Some of them handle rentals. I know there is one on Court St. in Burton that handles rentals, but the name of it is escaping me at the moment. I believe it's called Grant Hamady Real Estate. Are you going to U of M Flint? The dorms there are supposed to be opening next month.
