How many here live in the St.Joseph area? (Benton Harbor: property taxes, upkeep)

How many of you live in and around St.Joseph MI?

I wanted to ask more questions about the area like:

1.Internet service - How far out does it go in the country?
2.Cable Service- goes with question #1
3. Electric and Utilies cost
4.Housing cost and house tax
5. City tax/Taxes

Please let me know.

Might be the answer to questions 1 and 2.

Have you checked with the local providers there. They could tell you for sure where their service reaches.

We have Cincinnati Bell down here...

I live in Centreville, which is the county seat of St. Joseph.

1.) Internet service- I have dial-up--yuck! High speed is still kindof expensive around here.

2.) We have DirectTV as do most of my family and friends...not bad service or price!

3.) Electric-We pay about $150.00 a month, have a big house and a husband who does alot of welding, etc. As far as heat, we use wood so I can't help you there.

4.) We live in a pretty rural area and pay about $1,200 a year in property taxes. As for housing costs....just general upkeep, we have our own well and septic, so we don't pay for water or sewer.

5.) Can't help, we live in the country as do most of my family and friends.

Hope this helps you. It's a nice place to live, with plenty of nice people, although not all have computers!!!!

OK are we talking about the County of St.Joseph or the city of St.Joseph ?? I am asking about St. Joseph/Benton Harbor.
