Default Commuting question : Ann Arbor to Dearborn

Can someone provide some personal input on what a rush hour commute would be like from the East Side of Ann Arbor to Dearborn? I assume it would be via 94 East. Appreciate any input/experience. Thanks.

Default Commuting A2 to Dearborn

My son and daughter-in-law both work in Ann Arbor and live in Dearborn. To get to work by 8 am, they have to rise at 5 am to shower and grab a quick breakfast. They generally allow 1 1/2 hours to reach their destinations in East Ann Arbor unless bad weather or major traffic or construction problems require slower driving.

The return trip, unless it is after 6:30 pm, usually takes about the same amount of time.

They have had it with three hours a day on the road, and they are moving to Ann Arbor within the next few months.

I have another set of friends who both live in East Ann Arbor and commute daily to Royal Oak. They both agree that 1 1/2 hours is an average commute one way. One says that you can get it down to 60 minutes if you drive really fast, the roads are clear, and it is before 5 am or after 8 pm.
