Thank you all!!!!!!!!! really, I was starting to feel depressed with other postings I was reading. Now I have more idea and I think living in Owosso will be the best option since, as jrmontag and Yaz said, I will not be going to school every day. My eyes are allready bug out just to see the listings on the internet!!! Calif is wonderfull in a way but is imposible to buy a house enough to fit a family of 4 or even 2 for less than $550 with the price reduced, unless of course, you have a huge salary. and the rent is very expensive too. Anyway, Thank you again!!!

Over the course of the last year or so I have developed a theory about the negative posts here on the Michigan forum. Misery loves company is what it boils down to. There are those who MAY have it bad right now, and they spend the day here trying to show people how much they think the state stinks, and why anybody would be foolish to move here. While the MAJORITY of the people in the state are out enjoying all we have here. Beautiful days both Summer and winter, great beaches, lakes, rivers, woods. Great trails for hiking and mountain biking, canoing, fishing, and boating. Winter brings Skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and just a quiet walk through fresh snowfall surrounded by incomparable beauty.

We have bustling downtown life, lights, action and professional sports teams. Minor league teams for baseball, hockey, and others. Racetracks for auto racing lovers. Horse tracks for equine fans. Fairs and festivals during the summer and into fall. Auto shows of both local and international levels. Education at a lot of local schools that would be the envy of a lot of private schools. Great Universities, and colleges throughout the state.

Most of us are too busy enjoying life in a GREAT state to spend much time here arguing with trolls who want others to be depressed along side of them sitting in front of their computers spewing their hate and discontent.

I have lived all over the Country, there is a reason I chose to live back in Michigan to raise my kids. That reason would be that in all my travels, I never found a place that has it ALL other than Michigan. I found places that have most of what I was looking for, but not the whole package like Michigan did and still does.

Hi. I don't live near the area you are moving to in MI as I live in Farmington Hills but I hd moved to Southern Ca for 8 months this past year and just moved back. So I had the opposite transition. I think every state has its pros and cons. Mi is much cheaper then Ca as you know. Also the commute times though winter can be ruff are so much less then Ca. So if you are not happy with the area your husbands job is in you may want to look in areas even an hour away that may have a better way of life and school district.I think with any move it takes time to call it home. Do you know people here?
