Lets all go drink about it.
Good news. 1.00 pints at Rosie O'Grady's all day every day.

And for those who don't drink, Steak and Shake has happy hour (two shakes for 3 bucks, I think). mkfarnam, that's amazing, fantastic news. Having two usable arms is better than not, for sure.

A new discount store opened next to us yesterday, meaning more jobs and more economic activity. The only drawback was that our employee parking lot was full of idjits wanting grand-opening freebies, and we had to get out the agency Rottweilers to chase them off.

I don't know if this counts..but I heard and saw a red-winged blackbird this morning...the earliest I've EVER seen one. Even though it was 22 degrees and bitter. I wondered how they could survive in such a frozen condition..but that wonderful song made me happy!
Funny how things come around again.

My oldest son was awarded his Arrow Of Light today for Cub Scouts and then crossed over into Boy Scouts. It was a goal he set for himself by the second meeting when he joined Cub Scouts as a Tiger almost 5 years ago. Not too bad for an 11 year old to stick to something he wants.

I started a business in metro Detroit last year that involves helping people, and it's doing well. I will be able to pay myself close to the same salary I earned at my job in CA that I hated, and only served to help well off people get richer. MI is going through a tough time, but sometimes a big shake up can be the catalyst for creative and positive change in one's life.

I was at my folks this weekend and we heard a Chickadee, which is a sure sign of Spring coming. At least we didn't get dumped with snow this weekend, like much of the Eastern Seaboard all the way down to Alabama.

I also call that bird the "cheeseburger" bird because it sounds like it is saying well...cheeseburger! I think thats the bird I am thinking. I also heard one Saturday.
