I am craving pasties bad here in Romulus. I can make a pretty good one but often get them mail order from a place on Pasty Central. But I really miss the Pasties from Sly's Cafe in Ontonagon MI. They are really good, and there is a bar in Rockland that has um one day a week and they are so good too but I can['t remember the name. Any way what's your fav Pastie Place ? Diane

Diane- did you know there is a pasty shop in Southgate on Northline, between Dix and Fort? They are pretty good in a pinch.

I wish I could think of the place we used to get them at work. I think it was just off Livernois and Auburn. Just a little bakery, white building on the west side of the street. They were really pretty good.
Best I've had in the U.P was a place over in Munising. Could not tell you the name or location of that one. Just kind of found it when we did one of those boat tours.

LOL! You're craving pasties while I'm craving a huge veal parmigiana hero on semolina bread, something that doesn't exist in this part of the world

Lots of decent pastie places around the U.P. Just don't ask for gravy on it. You will be pegged an a troll right away. The proper condiment is catsup.

I think the pasty shop you were thinking of in Munising is Muldoons. My girlfriends family run a cruise service there and I fell in love with Muldoons the first bite.
