Michigan good news thread
Hey guys!
I thought it'd be a good way to lighten the mood if we had a good news thread. Share any good news you have from your area. It could be a lost dog found, or new jobs. Whatever. I'll start:
In Grand Rapids we put he last beam on our newest building yesterday. The riverhouse condiminiums building is the tallest building in the region, and the tallest residential structure in the whole state. Go GR!
Who's next?

Just thought of something - yeah...
Our local state reps decided to pass on voting for/against a medical marijuana bill. So, in the wake of thier indecisiveness, it will be placed on the ballot for all of us to decide on! Finally, we'll have our say! And no - it's not designed to allow people to open up pot shops all across the state like Cali does.

Build a new housing complex in a downtown area, it willl bring in more people. Bring in more people, push more people outwards into outlying areas where new gas stations and more condos/subs will pop up.

Besides the fact that I don't get your argument, it's bad form to rain on someone's parade, even if it's on a forum. This is a good news thread, and I think a building that will draw more people downtown to live is a good thing. It also builds civic pride. To me that is good news.
Anyone else got good news?
