Beaumont hospital in Royal Oak which is one of the biggest in the area is close to Bloomfield Hills. My wife works there as an RN, they are always looking for nurses, they employ aprox 16,000 people. Also in the area are smaller hospitals and many doctor offices which you could look for employment. Beaumont is the best paying local hospital. The university of michigan hospital is a union hospital but the pay is very low, $23.50 for a starting nurse but the benefits are great. They will match $2.00 for every $1.00 you put into retirement.
