Default Northern Michigan Vacation Real Estate

Looking to invest in property in Northern Michigan where we can fish and use our ATV's. What would be a good county to start looking? We ARE willing to drive a couple hours further to be somewhere "somewhat" isolated if we have to. Not looking for a large house or property, just a small cabin or garage. Will build our own shanty if the price is right. We live in Windsor ON. Canada and are just looking to be sent in the right direction as far as buying property in Northern MI, is concerned.

Any help would be much appreciated,

Russell Cooper

Alpena is beautiful, but I'd "settle" for something in Lewiston.

Both areas have exactly what you're looking for...

I suggest taking a week, or two if you can manage it, taking the Blue Water bridge and driving up the coast until you find a spot that you like and then exploring it some to see if it would work for you. If it does, great, if not, get back in the car and drive some more. :-)

I dated a guy who used to live in Hubbard Lake and it is a pretty area, and he loves to fish. That is a little SW of Alpena.
