OK, the second contract on my house fell through, so I am back in Traverse City looking for a job. If the house does sell though, I am working through a couple of different scenarios, one of which is to not leave the state, and move to the sunrise side, possibly around East Tawas which I think is a lovely area and housing seems to be much cheaper.

What is it like to live there though? I've worked in the area, but was only there for one day. Is it friendly? Are the winters worse there than in TC?

Any info. those in the know could give me would be great.

have no idea of what its like to live there but its great in the summertime....my mother has a cabin in east tawas and the people seem very friendly. doubt that helps but that's all i got
