Default So the theme park in Grayling is a nogo

I read an article that the Grayling theme park is DOA. I thought that the people financing the blunder would come to their senses. There is not enough people in North Michigan to make it worth 1 million not to mention 200+ million. With Ceder Point just a few miles away from Detroit and the big metro areas why on earth would anyone go to Grayling and risk an artillery shell hitting the tiltawhirll?
Grayling sucks anyway, it is a dirty little town. IMO anyway.

I suspect that once upon a time Cedar Point was a dirty little town, too.

I think the point was to bring tourism and a economic boom to Northern Michigan. Personally, I would like to see the beauty of the state preserved. There has to be a better way to bring tourism to the north than with a nosiy, brightly lit, congested theme park.

I posted an article from the Free Press a few weeks ago that stated the "investors" were unable to come up with the financing, and were also being investigated for other questionable activities. No suprise at all.......this thing was a joke from the first word forward....

....which is fine with me, btw. Northern Michigan is perfect just the way it is. We don't need any man made gimmicks to improve our way of life up here. What you see is what you get.....take it or leave it.
