Default Frankenmuth and Birch Run nice places!!

My family and I just came back from Frankenmuth and Birch Run Saturday and I must say we were surprised with the area and how nice people are in the general area, then again most areas I have ever been in Michigan the people are nice and the area clean. Frankenmuth is wonderful with the all the shops and the whole "Little Bavaria" feel and Hey you must stop and try Zenhanders
(I think that's how it's spelled) and try their menu! Our Waitress (Sarah) was nice and chatted with us asking how are we and were we came from and what did we think of the town.. Nice nice.

The one part of the stop I was wincing about was Bronners, I was afraid of becoming lost and my wife going nuts looking and shopping,I was surprised to get out within 1.5 hours (She said we are going back later this year to finish up!) I wanted to say that place is HUGH!

Now Birch Run...What a nice place to shop with the large outlet mall!
I think we might have been there for 2 hours easy.

Goal Post Pizza located on Church st... A MUST STOP AND EAT!!

The food is good and the service is great and the price is good!

Well until next time..

Mark

Too bad you didn't visit 5-8 years ago. A lot of shops have closed in Frankenmuth and stores have left the outlet mall.

But, it is (still) a wonderful area and Frankenmuth is absolutely gorgeous!

I actually prefer the Bavarian Inn to Zehnders because of their outfits The food is the same, but at the Bavarian Inn, they wear the traditional German clothing (lederhosen and what not).
Next trip, try the Bavarian Inn. It also has great service and food, but with a giggle (for you anyway!)
I also recommend taking the river boat through Frankenmuth!

Oh, and in Birch Run, stop at Tony's for a meal. Great food with HUGE portions! It is across from the outlet mall on Birch Run Rd.

I have some of the nicest memories of Franken Muth growing up. We would go from Oakland County around Halloween and get a pumpkin, the chicken dinner, and look through the shops. A very care free family place. If I recall too they have loevly Christmas decorations. I am Jewish but love to see the lights.

You make me miss home (Not that I usually don't but you made me miss it more! My uncle lives down the road and my grandparents lived in Millington- very close to Frankenmuth).

Ohhh...I grew up in a military family, only seeing my father twice a year (he was a naval officer). He only came home for a week during Christmas and a week during June. Every summer he took my mother, sister, and I to Frankenmuth. By far my fondest memories growing up. My husband and I now go every fall.
Now a trip down memory lane...I'm actually crying happy tears

(Too bad they got rid of the arcade...that was my favorite...next to the cheese haus, of course!)
