Default Property search SE Mi (Calhoun County - internet resources?

I'm used to being able to find the regional MLS for property searches and can't seem to find one for the region around Calhoun County.
I can use realtor.com even though I really don't like it.

However I cant find a good auditors website that lists property info, last sold, taxes, aerial view, plot lines.

Anyone know of one? Or quit looking they know there isn't one? (email link on the county website was bad and email returned, imagine that)

Here's a couple of examples of what I'm looking for I use in Ohio

This is confusing........are you looking for property in Ohio, South East Michigan, or Western Lower Michigan? The information you are looking for is something you'll have to pay to see, and depending on the site it can be expensive.

I live in Ohio, am looking at property in the Calhoun County area (you can call it either SE MI or Western Lower I don't really care, does it matter?)
And no you don't have to pay to see property records. In the "old days" you went to a county office and looked things up - free - now most counties have all the info on line - free. Check out the links. And many MLS (multiple listing site) allow search by the public, it just doesn't have all the capabilities that realtors get with their broker account.

Well this must still be the "old Days" because in most Counties across the Country, you still have to go in to access these records. Calhoun very well may be in the majority yet and you have to go in to do a search. Have you contacted the County Clerk to find out, or just get snippy online? A quick phone call will give you the answer.

From my experience, most MI counties do not have the same availabe online service as what you find in Ohio. I have also found the the more "rural" counties in MI tend to have less available info on their sites than the less rural counties. (former MI resident now in OH with property in MI).

The best bet to find property is to either look at the realtor site and do a broad search or contact the county directly to find out what they have available. Are you dead set on Calhoun county?? I have property in Eaton Co not too far from Calhoun that I'd entertain offers on....

Thanks chance2jump, I guess its a regional difference. Available monies probably have something to do with it so I can see the more rural counties in Michigan not having on ine audtior sites but I didn't think that the counties around Dayton like Miami or Clark counties had so much more money than Calhoun county.

what kind of property? I'm not looking for a house in town. More a house on acreage or just land nestled up to a town.

It could be the volume of entry's is also making the larger counties slow to adapt the online search and records availability. I live in what would be considered a small rural county and we have the records online, and have for several years.

It is acreage with a barn on it, ready to be built but we were laid off and moved out of state before we could get to that part. About 4 miles outside of Eaton Rapids. 10.45 acres by dimension, beautiful rolling hills with a surface area of about 11-13 acres.
