Actually, they are. "Starting", "locating" and "expanding", all three.

I don't know all the Detroit area media outlets, so there's probably a lot I'm missing.
If you want actual articles, I'm afraid I can't possibly research and post the 1000's of articles just over the past year. There are entire news divisions/outlets devoted to business news.
And as someone else mentioned, it's at least nice to know Michigan has a balanced budget, unlike the Feds and several other states.
OK, just to not leave you hanging, here's just a sampling from recent news (past couple of months):

Don't get me wrong. I wouldn't say there's a boom of any sort, as there are still manufacturing jobs related to automotive parts manufacturing being lost in West Michigan, but there are a lot of out-of-state companies checking out West Michigan all the time. We also should get news in the next few weeks about another large call center opening in the Grand Rapids metro area and a MASSIVE solar plant opening up, both from companies outside of Michigan. Priceline is also considering moving their New York operations to Grand Rapids (in addition to their new big call center they just opened). I'm sure there are just as many expansions in the Detroit area (Ann Arbor probably the most). It's just hard to hear about them over all the crap being spewed by the MSM.

State references. (I hope you don't trust the media!)
I would expect there's a record of businesses closing down vs. opening.

You post the ones that show the ones mentioned and stated are wrong or not happening. Go ahead, I'll wait.
Yeah the media is just out to pull the wool over the public's eyes and nobody can tell if what they are reporting is truth or not. You are just negative about the state and have bitter feelings, either that or you made a mistake following a woman out of state and now wish you were back, so you are trying to convince yourself the place sucks. For somebody who doesn't give a damn about MI, you sure spend a lot of time on the forum talking about it.
You demand references, and when somebody gives you a bunch, your response is basically "not those, other ones." Then try to discount every source that is available just so your point can hold water. Childish behavior. You maintain the entire state sucks and there are no jobs. You demand references when somebody says otherwise, so lets see some non media references that prove your stance. That is the same guidelines you expect others to follow, so seeing how life is a two way street, you provide the items to maintain your stand please. We don't have to prove a thing here, you do; You are the one making the claims so let's see your proof. Put up or shut up as the old saying goes.

I thought you had me on ignore? I understand.. I enjoy me too.
I'm not making any claims to support. I'm just asking if there's any evidence that business is continuing at the same rate now that the tax increases have taken effect.

I never made a point. I'm just checking to see if there's anything reputable that contradicts Morris' claim. Why cry?

I agree. So stop crying. I'm interested if anyone has a (reputable) reference to contradict Morris' conclusion. If you don't have it, get out of this thread.

BWAHAHAHAHA!
This from someone who dragged us all into this because of a blog entry authored by Dick Morris!
Don't trust 15 different media sources! Trust only in Dick Morris!
And he calls "the media" the prostitute!
And..and...he seeks "anything reputable that contradicts Morris' claim"...when if it did contradict Morris' claim, then by definition it wouldn't be reputable!
Thank you! That's the biggest laugh I've had all day! And I've been following John McCain's blunders today!
But really, seriously now, I'm feeling guilty, laughing at One Thousand, knowing of his "special" situation.

I don't know why you whack-jobs are getting so personal. All I'm asking is if there are any references to contradict Morris' opinion.
Please cite one if it's available.

Ah, but you are demanding support for others claims as well when they are not claiming support either. Come on, either continue to troll, or produce.

Not getting personal at all, just rehashing what you yourself have said about why you left the state. I see it is another item for the list of what you can do, but others better not bring it back to you.

I'm not the one with my knickers in knots because other people have brought forth proof that does contradict your almighty Morris. Just because you think the sources are not valid doesn't mean they are in fact not valid.

Who's crying? I don't see teardrops on my keyboard. You are the one who cannot and will not bring forth proof to maintain your stand. You therefor are being a Troll. Stirring the pot with nothing to add to the debate or nothing to maintain your position other than whining about others posts.
And yes I did put you on ignore, but damn it all, you are just so easy and fun to get all riled up. A few comments and you go right off the deep end with lame insults and innuendo. Makes me laugh and gives me a smile. Usually I have to watch a stand-up comic to get this much humor in an evening. And it's free and interactive, BONUS!!
